Development Fees need to be reduced!
Has anyone looked lately at the fees that the city of Lincoln charges to build in this city. The city themselves stated that the development department was a ghost town and that the department is running out of money. Maybe it is because the city wants at a minimum over 50K in fees to build a house and I don't want to even think about the cost for commercial construction. The city of Lincoln needs to follow the example of Elk Grove and Woodland and reduce the fees charged. That is the single largest reason that nothing is being built in this city and why if we don't do something soon, next years budget will be a lot harder to balance.
