Sun City Coyotes

Have been waiting for this Coyote to appear for several weeks.

We have seen the results of their hunting, but only catch fleeting glimpses of individuals.

Finally, at 7:30 A.M. this morning, there he was.

These animals hunt daily in the ravine behind our home in Sun City.

Usually, they run as a family pack, at night.

Because others that I have seen are much larger, I think this an immature animal.

There is little doubt that he/she was after a rabbit that came through just before.

They both crossed the creek several times, one trying to avoid the other and the other trying to catch breakfast.

It is interesting to note that all this activity took place just yards form golfers on the course.

They had no idea of what was taking place just a few feet from them.

Coyotes are very stealthy.....

Rabbits are very fast (sometimes).
