Free Energy Upgrade Volunteer Core Training
Ecology Action is pleased to announce a free Energy Efficiency Public Outreach Specialist training program for residents of Placer County and the Capitol region. In exchange for the free training, students become a part of the EA Energy Upgrade Volunteer Corps program, a grassroots effort to promote residential energy and water efficiency rebate programs in Placer County. Training starts October 12, 2011 and end November 2, 2011 and will take place in Rocklin, CA. Community outreach and events will take place throughout Placer County.
Training will occur on four Wednesday evening classes and on two Saturday field trips.
-Learn the science of energy auditing, methods for retrofitting a home for maximum efficiency, and rebate programs that incentivize Placer County residents to reduce energy and water consumption.
-Build references, gain valuable presentation and marketing skills and experience, and learn about subsidized BPI and HERS II certification opportunities.
-Teach others about the benefits of whole house energy efficiency assessments and retrofits and make a positive impact in your community in Placer County.
